Description of CE Program/Activity
 Presenters: Jaye Shupin and Chris TabbIn Texas, the ECC is enshrined in the Education Code as the measure of an appropriate education for our children under FAPE. What can we learn from the Texas model, and what steps should we take to ensure that our children get an appropriate education? This will be an interactive presentation comparing the Texas Education Code and model of service delivery with the Education Code and service system in California.Participants will: Compare the Texas and California regarding ECC requirements and ECC service deliveryExplore ideas for integrating non-required ECC areas into current assessments and instructionConsider and appraise ideas for possible policy change in California regarding assessment and instruction in the ECC.
