The goal of this training will be to better equip instructors in the Personal Adjustment Training Unit to provide basic Braille instruction/resources to individuals they serve. Though Braille training would typically be provided by a Braille instructor, there are situations where an instructor could provide general information about Braille, label household/work site items, or give a general introduction so an individual can make a more informed decision about whether to pursue Braille training. Participants will also become better informed about types of Braille displays currently available, basic features, and pros/cons. |
