Participants are encouraged to bring a case study, personal computing device, smartphone and earbuds to this hands-on, day-long workshop on access technology! Dr. Ting will share practical resources and strategies for evaluating students needs for assistive technology, including how to determine the best fit of technology to meet a blind or low vision student s needs. Ideas for introducing technology using an empowerment approach will be presented for discussion. Finally, participants will learn and practice how to write IEP goals to support technology learning and implementation. |
