 Online Registration can be found at https://www.leaderdog.org/programs/professional-and-university-opportunities/ and https://forms.office.com/r/UJTG8d88hQ The event is open to any Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist interested in learning more about guide dog work, GPS and phone technology, specialized O&M techniques and tools, and Leader Dog's DeafBlind and Adaptive Services Program. Leader Dogs for the Blind is located in Rochester Hills, MI. Applicants are responsible for their own transportation to and from Leader Dog. Participants will enjoy accommodations in Leader Dog's Polk Residence Center with meals in our dining hall. Leader Dog will provide transportation to training locations during the event.

Description of CE Program/Activity
 Participants will learn more about specialized O&M techniques, GPS and phone technology, guide dogs and how to help clients become guide dog ready, Juno tools, and diabetes in O&M clients. Time will be provided for Q&A, group discussion, networking, and several activities to enhance the learning experience. While staying in the Polk Residence Center at Leader Dog, participants will gain in depth knowledge of guide dog development, requirements and training, guide dog readiness and admissions process, incorporating location technology and best practices. They will learn about working with DeafBlind clients, diabetic clients, observe guide dog instruction, Juno, guide dog travel problem solving, and experience an accessible escape room. Participant will learn optimal procedures to pattern dogs to difficult travel environments, orienting guide dog handlers to new environments, and helping to facilitate problem solving with the white cane. Events will involve discussion, experience, and instruction practice. Time will be provided for questions and discussion with O&M instructors and GDMIs.
