2023 Supervisors Low Incidence Retreat: BVI, DB, DHOHThis training will provide supervisors an opportunity to delve into low incidence sensory impairments topics. Sessions will explore topics and trends relevant to current practice.Following the recent focus on eligibility from OSEP, this session will focus on eligibility for students with deaf-blindness, blindness and visual impairment, and students who are considered deaf-hard of hearing. There will be a review of the deaf-blind census and child count, followed by a review and discussion related to recent initiatives related to Code Jumper and introduce a novel Intervener Training Platform. The session will close with networking and simulation experiences for in-person attendees. |
