This presentation will focus on options for providing remote support for CATS/Smart Device training via virtual care. Providing remote training can be challenging at times when system trouble shooting is required and/or in the initial stages of training before the proper accessibility settings have been activated especially. Connecting to a Veteran s computer utilizing a remote support application can make it possible to provide direct support in a virtual care setting. Without a remote support application, success with CATS remote training may need to rely heavily on the assistance of a BROS and/or family member/friend, which may not always be available. In many cases sighted assistance may be necessary during the initial remote support app connection. The remote support applications that will be discussed include, Team Viewer (Windows & MAC), Quick Assist (Windows), Screensharing (MAC). All participants will gain knowledge of the process for the setup of, utilization of and/or trouble shooting that may be needed for making use of remote support applications. |
