Description of CE Program/Activity
 Accreditation meets two of the most important needs of our profession: integrity of consumer choice and integrity of professional growth. Consumer choice is a theme in services in general and also specifically for people who are blind or visually impaired. But very few places have more than one provider option and how would a newly blind person or their family member know that the services are high quality? At the same time, institutional and personal self-improvement are not one time events. Accreditation is a sign that consumers can trust and a process that fosters ongoing individual and organizational self-improvement.
