A discussion of the most common causes of vision loss and various strategies utilized by the low vision doctor to help patients regain functioning and independence. The low vision exam will be discussed in detail. Assorted corrective lens options, low vision devices, technological assistive devices, as well as various tints for glare for visually impaired patients will be examined in this course. Clinical decision making as to which devices or spectacles are appropriate for patients will also be considered. |
