A hands-on introductory opportunity to learn about braille translation and tactile graphics production. The day will begin with an introduction to the functions, menu system, and formatting of Duxbury Braille Translation Software and Braille Blaster, the free APH Software. Attendees will have an opportunity to create a document, ask questions and troubleshoot. In the afternoon, attendees will be introduced to the features of the accessible TactileView Tactile Graphics Software. This session will include the basics for creating graphics as well as editing existing graphics. This session is intended for beginners and assumes no prior knowledge of the software. Session and materials costs are partially funded through state or federal grants. |
