 Description: In this a 5-part webinar we will share how to navigate the process of getting your child the appropriate support at school. This will cover the evaluation, present levels, annual IEP goals, accommodations and supplements and the service deliver model. Target Audience: Parents and caregivers of children with blindness, low vision, deafblind and deafblind+ Pre-requisite knowledge: None Lesson Plan Goal: Parents will gain an understanding of the IEP and 504 process from start to finish. They will better understand the 5 parts of the IEP and how to advocate for their child to better their child s access to education and the school setting. Learning Objectives: Parents and caregivers will identify the evaluation process. They will also be able to identify needed information for the Present Levels of an IEP. Parents and caregivers will be able to determine needs and advocate for appropriate Annual IEP goals. They will also be able to identify necessary accommodations and supplemental services the school could provide. The parents and caregivers will be able to better state the service delivery model provided from the school to their child in their educational setting.
