Blind Rehabilitation Service strives to provide the best care to our Veteran who are visually impaired and coping with the effects of an acquired brain injury including, but not limited to, stroke or TBI. The needs of this population can be unique and diverse. Participants in this online presentation will learn strategies and tips for providing training to patient with language deficits, hemisphere impairment, memory impairment, and attention/concentration difficulties. In addition, participants will learn strategies for addressing neglect/inattention and for working with those with PTSD and pseudobulbar effect. |
