Introduction:This training will focus on current built-in MAC OS accessibility features that have been added in recent Mac OS updates with respect to magnification, screen reading, high contrast, etc. that now allow for a smooth transition for a windows ZoomText user to a MAC, especially who have successfully completed an iOS accessibility training program. All participants will gain knowledge of the current MAC OS accessibility features that are available for applicable Veterans with a visual impairment in utilizing MAC OS to meet their personal computing needs. This training will be presented in a live demonstration, on the use of and/or available modifications for these available MAC OS Accessibility features and their functional application when training our Veterans.Goals:1.Participant will learn the pros and cons of MAC OS dark mode versus the inverted colors accessibility features and the dark mode setting available within some 3rd party apps to improve the experience of dark mode.2.Participants will learn what features are available in spoken content in addition to the newer features for spoken content that now provide options comparable to what s available in ZoomText.3.Participants will learn what is now available for mouse pointer accessibility 4.Participants will learn how dictation and Siri can be activated, modified, and provide a more hands free experience, In addition a brief intro to voice control and full keyboard access.5.Participants will learn the pros and cons of switching from windows to mac accessibility and be provided with comparisons between available features across iOS, Windows OS and MAC OSObjectives:1.Participants will observe a live demonstration on the pros and cons of MAC OS dark mode versus the inverted colors accessibility features and the dark mode settings available within some third-party apps to improve the experience of dark mode.2.Participants will observe a live demonstration of features th |
