This training will introduce user to the accessibility Apps GPS and Blindsquare1.Participants will understand the differences between the different types and uses of a GPS, based on the needs and skill level of the Veteran. 2.Participants will understand the pre-requisites needed by the Veteran in the area of orientation and mobility, specifically that they must have received a full O&M training program and have demonstrated good and safe travel skills. 3.Participants will understand the pre-requisites required of the Veteran s ability to use accessible software on their iOS device. 4.Participants will understand that in order to use any GPS application the Veteran needs to allow their location to be used as well on their iOS device as well as having a data plan. 5.Participants will gain knowledge of the use, implementation and safety pre-cautions that are part of the instruction with a GPS and the Blindsquare app. 6.Participants will gain knowledge of the functions available on the Blindsquare app. |
