This presentation will discuss the unique communication and accessibility needs of individuals who are Deaf-Blind. The presentation will specifically describe the use of Haptic signals (the use of touch to provide visual and environmental information and social feedback) during rehabilitation teaching including braille, and independent living skills, and technology training. Techniques will be demonstrated, video of training sessions will be included in the presentation, as well as a description of a research project associated with haptics for braille instruction. |
