The intent is to increase participants knowledge and awareness on how to implement iOS programs for Veterans with a Visual Impairment. If you are planning to participate please use the attached form to register and send it back to Ms. Caren Lyman at caren.lyman@va.gov by COB April 14, 2022. This training will be available via TEAMS. A calendar invitation will be sent. We are asking staff to have access to an iPad or iPhone for hands on and active participation.

Description of CE Program/Activity

This training will focus on the importance of learning to use communication apps to use/access mail, facetime & Video on Demand. Participants will learn how to use a combination of Siri and voiceover to access emails, compose an email and how to use voiceover to navigate mail, face time and video on demand. Participants will learn how to use voiceover to access and compose an email and make a facetime call using Siri and these communicational apps. All participants will gain knowledge and application of all communication apps that can be applied to the device issued and is part of the training provided at the WPB BRC. This training will be a hands-on training on the use of these communicational apps and their functional application when training our Veterans with a visual impairment.
