Description of CE Program/Activity
 It is not always easy to find educational media that supports students with visual impairments and offers high-quality audio description. The Described and Captioned Media Program (DCMP) is a federally funded program, which provides accessible educational media and much more for children who are blind, low vision. and deafblind and those who are deaf and hard of hearing. http://www.dcmp.orgCome and learn about this free resource for K-12 students. The webinar will focus on how described media can enhance learning and classroom experiences along with a review of important content supporting their new Getting a Job e-Learning transition from school-to-work module. Getting a Job offers a series of activities, supporting documents, and audio messages from role models. The module is designed to help the job seeker prepare for the world of work. It features several blind and low vision role models to guide students along the path to work.Learning Objectives1. Participants will learn how description benefits all students.2. Participants will discuss uses for video in the classroom.3. Participants will be able to find DCMP media and match titles to classroom learning objectives.4. Participants will learn the focus of the e-Learning module Getting a Job and the role model framework used in the module.
