Join the Northern California AER chapter for a three-part webinar series on bioptic driving. The first session is titled "Driving with Bioptics" and will discuss criteria, restrictions, emotional/maturity levels, assessment and/or screening tools, and training. The session session is titled "Assessment for Prescription of a Bioptic" and will discuss bioptics, eye conditions/acuity, assessment and criteria, health conditions and reflexes. The final session is titled "Consumer Panel Discussion: Consumer Reactions to Inability to Drive" and will consist of a panel discussion of strategies/options to follow if you are unable to drive. Other topics for discussion will be how a person with low vision/blindness travels by vehicle, methods to be in charge of your transportation, safety, and individual "rites of passage" that did not involve obtaining a driver's license.
