 The West Palm Beach BRC is having a Staff Development/CE activity on March 9, 2022 from 11:00-12:00N, Eastern Standard Time. The intent is to increase participants knowledge and awareness on how to implement iOS programs for Veterans with a Visual Impairment. If you are planning to participate please use the attached form to register and send it back to Ms. Caren Lyman at caren.lyman@va.gov by COB March 4, 2022. This training will be available via TEAMS. A calendar invitation will be sent. We are asking staff to have access to an iPad or iPhone for hands on and active participation.

Description of CE Program/Activity
 This training will focus on the importance of learning to use the accessibility software for Veterans with a visual impairment. This is a hands on training were participants will learn the gestures for both Voice Over and Zoom. All participants will gain knowledge of all the gestures and their functional application as part of the assessment process and training.Objectives:1.Participants will understand the process and importance of setting up an individualized configuration for Voice Over and or Zoom as part of the Veteran s participation in the BRC iOS program.2.Participants will understand the use and application of Voice Over and or Zoom gestures when participating in an iPhone/iPad program.3.Participants will have hands-on training on the use of voice over and zoom gestures 4.Participants will explored practical uses for Voice Over and Zoom gestures. Goals:1.Participants will be able to configure and setup the accessibility software for a Veteran with a visual impairment based on the assessment.2.Participants will be able to perform and apply basic/advance Voice Over gestures. 3.Participants will be able to perform and apply Zoom gestures. 4.Participants will be able to assist/educate a Veteran in the use of both Voice Over and Zoom gestures.
