Description of CE Program/Activity
In recognition of Black History Month and this year s national theme of Black Health and Wellness, the MCB Diversity Committee invites all MCB staff to participate in a 1-hour virtual Movement + Community Conversation Workshop on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 1-2 PM via Zoom, centering on the theme of Black cultures, identities, & health and wellness, with Melissa Alexis of Cultural Fabric. Objectives: To use the platform of staff convening for Black History Month to tie the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization to historical context, and prompt honest dialogue; To create an experiential learning opportunity for staff that promotes community building and reflection; To catalyze conversation about Pan-African diasporic cultures, identities, health and wellness and connections to workplace wellness. We ask that participants please join about 5 minutes early to settle in before a brief introduction and the session begins. Please find details below that will also be included in the Outlook calendar invite. We hope that you can join! Melissa's methodology, Journey to EASE , works with the unconscious mind to create awareness, then change. She coaches people to support their personal and professional growth and development; leads yoga/meditation for companies & individuals; and leads the Healing Arts Institute for racial healing, facilitative leadership, and social transformation. In this era of the pandemic, she believes now is the time for us to co-create an ecosystem prioritizing internal development for our collective well-being.
