Join this introductory webinar and learn the basics of the of the WRAT-5 administration, scoring, and interpretation of the assessment results for students with a visual impairment. Instructor s Email: darlene@resilientmindscollective.com Primary Core or ECC Area: Academic Screening in Reading, Mathematics, and Spelling Target Audience: This workshop is mainly intended for Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments, Special Education Teachers (e.g., Resource Specialist Program Teachers and Self-Contained Program Teachers), School Psychologists, Evaluation Specialists, Parents, Adults with Visual Impairments Pre-requisite knowledge: This workshop is mainly intended for Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments that they may partner with and provide information to psychologists, diagnosticians, and other credentialed Special Education Teachers (e.g. Resource Specialist Program teachers, Self-Contained Program teachers, etc.) who may not have knowledge and experience in evaluating people who are blind and interpreting the results. It is expected that the psychologists, diagnosticians, and special education teachers will be competent in testing, scoring, and interpreting the original WRAT-5 with sighted individuals. Lesson Plan Goal: Participants will be introduced to and develop their skills in administering and interpreting academic standardized testing resulting in evaluation of students with VI that more accurately reflects their present levels of performance. Learning Objectives: Identify the benefits of selecting the WRAT-5 for evaluation purposes Identify and describe the WRAT-5 subtests Identify the materials av
