Join us for a 6-week long mini-course on JAWS for TBVIs. We will explore how to identify computers that will run JAWS well, learn about Windows OS concepts that can support JAWS instruction, become proficient in working with JAWS and Google Workspace, and share resources with each other. The course is asynchronous, but interactive! Part 1: Getting Started and Selecting a Computer for JAWSPart 2: Windows and JAWS BasicsPart 3: JAWS and Google WorkspacePart 4: Planning and Implementing JAWS Instruction Objectives:-Participants will be able to procure and set up JAWS installation on appropriate Windows devices.-Participants will be able to create lesson plans and units for instruction within Google Workspace using JAWS commands and Windows OS concepts.-Participants will be able to develop measurable and appropriate IEP JAWS/Windows OS goals for students.Course instructor: Amanda Thompson, TBVI, COMS, CATIS with Allied Instructional Services.Online class format: Google classroom with weekly assignments. |
