Description of CE Program/Activity
 This FIRST session provides instructional strategies and practices specific to the education of students with dual sensory loss. The course entails two sessions including mentoring provided by specialists in the field of deafblindness and the development of a student profile. The target audiences for this course is the educational team of a student with a combined vision and hearing loss (dual sensory loss), the student's parent(s), teachers, early interventionists classroom paraprofessionals, therapists, Teachers of the Visually Impaired, Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Interpreters and Interpreting students.Course is taught by Teachers of the Visually Impaired, Teachers of the Deaf, Teacher of the Deafblind, Deaf-Blind Endorsees, Speech and Language Pathologist, and guest local and national speakers.You must attend all sessions, camera on, and plan to be engaged!
