Presenters, Catie King and Alexa Poynor will cover what a conversation box is and how it can be used to promote communication, concept development, increasing independence, shared attention and use within a structured routine. This information is designed to be used with students with complex needs, or at a developmental level of 0-48 months. Conversation boxes can be used for routines such as grooming, mealtime, fine motor skills, social skills along with other areas. The session covers topic areas that are important to those who provide both direct and consult services to students with visual impairments. |
