O&M and the Expanded Core CurriculumTraining Description This training is divided into two parts. It is designed to identify the role that the COMS plays in the implementation of the ECC for students with a visual impairment. Part one will explore the early years of development serving children birth to three. Part two will examine practical ideas and activities that may be utilized when providing support to students three to twenty-two. Ideas and activities provided may be utilized with normal developing students and students with multiple impairments. The final piece of this training will be an open discussion on providing general O&M consultative and instructional supports in the home, school, and community. |
