Description of CE Program/Activity
 This presentation will describe the role of Teacher of the Deafblind (TDB), systems change activities that led to the recognition of these professionals in four states, including licensure/endorsement, and the role that communities of practice play in the professional life of TDBs. Participants will learn of ways they can encourage stakeholders to join in systems change efforts to increase opportunities for educators who work with students who are DB. Learning objectives: 1) Participants will understand what it means to be a Teacher of the Deaf-Blind 2) Participants will understand the value of having a certificate/endorsement for Teacher of the Deaf-Blind in their state 3) Participants will understand four states certification/endorsement for Teacher of the Deaf-Blind and how this was achieved.
