Description of CE Program/Activity
 This training is designed to advance clinical staff knowledge in understanding occupational therapy s scope of practice and the profession s role in vision rehabilitation. Training will focus primarily on defining how occupational therapists are able to co-exist in vision rehabilitation teams, identifying clinical implications of low vision and/or visual impairments, and sharing research and banks of assessments that occupational therapists can conduct to increase veteran wellbeing, independence, and productivity.Learning Objectives:At the conclusion of this CE activity the participant will be able to:1.Clarify the role of occupational therapy in visual healthcare settings 2.Share strategies to increase patient satisfaction and ability to reach goals 3.Discuss effects of vision loss on emotional wellbeing and how to address the issue 4.Disseminate findings of an ongoing needs assessment
