Recent technological advancements such as virtual reality (VR) can provide opportunities to improve upon traditional vision assessments, by providing objective, ecologically valid, and engaging measurements of performance.This talk highlights two virtual reality simulations that make use of eye tracking technology for an enhanced behavioral approach to functional vision assessment. Furthermore, these simulations can be combined with neuroimaging techniques such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and electroencephalography (EEG) to better explain behavioral observations. |
