Description of CE Program/Activity
 The communication sessions will explore communication strategies for individuals who are deafblind and/or pre-linguist communicators. The AAC & CVI Matrix will be introduced. The ACC & CVI Matrix is an instrument designed to develop a balanced communication plan for students with complex communication needs. The CVI - Moving through 2-D session will cover the progression of interventions that support literacy for children with CVI as they move from 3-dimensional materials to 2-dimensional materials. The CVI Social Skills will discuss the effects of CVI on social learning. Strategies for developing age-appropriate social behaviors and interactions will be discussed. The CVI O&M session will cover O&M skills related to each Phase of CVI. Strategies for teaching spatial and directional vocabulary will be discussed.
