Description of CE Program/Activity
 Description: Research has shown that the use of multimedia is beneficial to all students. However, it is not always easy to find educational media with high-quality description. The Described and Captioned Media Program is a federally funded program, which provides accessible educational media and much more. Learn about this free resource. We ll discuss how described media can enhance learning and the classroom experience. Instructor: Cindy Camp Instructor s Title: Marketing and Communication Specialist Instructor s Affiliation: Described and Captioned Media Program Instructor s Email: ccamp@dcmp.org Primary Core or ECC Area: science, social studies, English, language arts, compensatory skills Target Audience: teachers of students with visual impairments, general education teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, college professors of teacher preparation programs Learning Objectives: 1.Participants will learn how description benefit all students. 2.Participants will explore how to evaluate the quality of description. 3.Participants will discuss uses for video in the classroom. 4.Participants will be able to find DCMP media and match titles to classroom learning objectives.
