Description of CE Program/Activity
To meet the needs of individuals who are deaf-blind (DB), trained professionals with a comprehensive skill set are necessary. This presentation delineates the following professionals: interpreters, interveners, and support service providers. These roles are distinctive, but collectively they fulfill the distinctive needs of this population. Learning objectives: 1. Participants will understand the role of the intervener, interpreter, and support service provider 2. Participants will understand the differences between interveners, interpreters, and support service providers 3. Participants will know where they can access training resources for interveners.
