Tactile symbols are one important form of communication used by individuals with deafblindness who can’t see print or pictures easily and don’t read braille. This session will discuss this “form” of communication and provide basic information about determining which students will benefit from using tactile symbols. How to utilize this approach in instruction and conversational interactions will also be discussed. Go to http://www.tsbvi.edu/tetn-broadcasts to download forms and handouts. |
