Description of CE Program/Activity
During this hands-on workshop participants will learn how to help vision impaired students better understand spatial concepts and how to link 3-D objects with their 2-D representations. The participants will build geometric solids and learn how to make their exploration accessible, e.g. touch a diagonal, a height in a solid and easily find and mark directions in 3-D. Additionally, the participants will use Geometros new foldable manipulatives to make 2-D representations of 3-D solids and to learn how to illustrate basic geometry concepts through kinesthetic process.
