This course is designed to help TVIs provide effective support for students with visual impairments to develop skills in all areas of Science education. Through a variety of online presentations, readings, research and hands-on activities, course participants will gain an understanding of the scope of Science education and skills to facilitate interactions with students and their Science instructors. Participants will develop problem solving skills and create a variety of low cost, low tech adaptations. In addition, course participants will learn about technology to create accessible materials, as well as technologies that students with visual impairments can use to carry out STEM activities with increasing independence.Workshop Registration is by invitation only.
