Description of CE Program/Activity
 Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a growing topic of public concern in the US. In this course, we will break down common misconceptions about TBI through examination of recent research and current management guidelines. Particular attention will be given to mild TBI and sports-related concussions. Health care practitioners will be able to use the information and resources provided to properly identify, counsel, and refer TBI cases.Learning Level: IntermediateLearning Objectives: 1. Identify effects of concussion and traumatic brain injury. 2. Identify appropriate diagnostic testing and assessment tools for TBI. 3. Reference available updated resources and practice guidelines to aid in appropriate counseling of patients with TBI. 4. Apply practice guidelines to appropriately refer patients with TBI.
