Children with visual impairments, blindness, and multiple disabilities are often left out of physical education due to lack of knowledge of the physical education teacher and vision specialists. Most professional preparation programs in physical edcuation do not include information about visual impairment or practical opportunities with this population. This presentation will share evidence-based practices that support the inclusion of children with visual impairments and those with additional disabilities. In addition, many resources will be provided including books, videos, tip sheets, websites, programs and more! |
