Description of CE Program/Activity
Need ideas for activities to keep your children learning in the home? Sara and Julia will share a variety of strategies that can be implemented within the home to support children with CVI. We can create activities with items already in our homes that will help teach our children the same concepts as expensive products. Join us to learn more about how household materials or very inexpensive items can be put together to create educational materials that offer children with CVI opportunities to develop visual skills. Strategies will be shared for children of all abilities who have been diagnosed with CVI. The participant will identify three activities to be used by students in the home or classroom settings. The participant will identify five common household items that can be used to create learning activities in the home or classroom setting. The participant will identify three skills for learners of all ages that will be promoted with the integration of these activities into their daily routines. The participant will review the importance of focusing on various developmental areas and specific skills while embedding activities into the students daily routine in the home or classroom setting.
