Join members of the LightHouse in San Francisco, CA and Washington State School for the Blind for a live webinar, supported by PowerPoint presentation, that extols the virtues of Tactile Maps Automated Production (TMAP) - a project promoting independent travel and tactile map literacy for people who are blind, that has applications for O&M instruction in a time of distance learning. The participant with examine the history and development of TMAP software. The participant will review the 6 steps to create a TMAP street map. The participant will list 3 uses of TMAP in O&M instruction. The participant will identify at least 3 strategies to teach map-reading readiness skills. |
