In the field of visual impairments, exciting new pieces of technology have been developed in the last few years. Providing emergent braille readers fun and innovative ways to play with braille has been a challenge. Sighted peers have always had access to entertaining, technology-based products that encourage early language and reading development. For example, there are a variety of items that speak, light up, and play games when letters of the alphabet are pressed. Children that have limited or no vision did not have this same opportunity to encounter braille - until now.
