 Review program description Attend and participate in 100% of program activity Sign in and out of training on Training Verification Sheet Complete online participant evaluation via Survey Monkey link provided Credit / Hours: Academy for Certification of Visual Rehabilitation and Education (ACVREP) - up to 2 hr. continuing education clock hours.Statement of Participation A certificate of completion will be awarded to participants via email within two (2) weeks of the training date. Accreditation records will be on file with the BRC s Administrative Officer/Registered Provider of Professional Learning and Education (RPPLE) Officer It is the participant s responsibility to request information pertaining to his or her learner record or copies of past certificates of completion from the BRC s Administrative Officer/RPPLE Officer Report of Training The BRC Administrative/RPPLE Officer safeguards the retention and release of records to ensure the privacy and security of learner information. Documentation of attendance and participant learner records are kept on file for seven (7) years. ACVREP reserves the right to monitor programs and training and request attendance and completion documentation for which it has granted CE approval. Description of CE Program/Activity
 This two-part series on weaving instruction for working with people with visual disabilities, will enhance teaching techniques needed to introduce students to working on a loom. This will be an interactive workshop covering, how to include low vision aids or tactile techniques for visually impaired students in your instruction, actual steps needed to prep the loom, as well as weaving techniques. Sessions:1)Weaving Techniques for People with Visual Disability- Part 12)Weaving Techniques for People with Visual Disability- Part 2 Time will be available for questions and discussion. Learning Objectives:At the conclusion of this CE activity the participant will be able to: Staff will observe, then demonstrate sleying warp through reeds. Staff will be able to utilize a pattern to set up the loom. Staff will demonstrate ability to thread heddles according to a pattern. Staff will demonstrate ability to treadles, shuttle & beater to create a woven patter Staff will be able to teach techniques to visually impaired adultsTarget Audience: Clinical staff providing care to Veterans with visual impairment and blindness. Blind Rehabilitation Specialists, Visual Impairment Service Coordinators, Blind Rehabilitation Program Administrators, other Rehabilitation Staff
