 Closing The Gap - Live Webinar - Serving Students with Autism and Low Vision / BlindnessThursday, January 16, 20203:30 pm 5:00 pm Central Standard TimeServing Students with both visual and autism impairments is an overview of the definitions and characteristics of both visual impairment/blindness and autism diagnoses. The presenters will share case studies of actual students living in Alaska who have the co-occurrence of visual and autism impairment. The presenters will share some of the challenges they have experienced while attempting to find ways to meet these student s unique functional needs. Presenters will also share the implementation of evidence-based methods that were used to not only accommodate the student s needs but that also contributed to their successAngel Black, M.S.
