Description of CE Program/Activity
Sue Sullivan has a passion for both mathematics and teaching students with visual impairments. This workshop will focus on how math games can help enhance your math teaching. The games are quick to learn and accessible to students with visual impairments. They will support student's foundational math skills as well as bring an element of fun to your teaching time. Math topics will include skills learned in grades 2 through 7.Outcome:As a participant, you will have the opportunity to play the games and learn how to modify them to best meet the needs of your students. Participants will also leave the workshop with a binder of math games, tactile dice, braille playing cards, and supplies to make your own accessible game materials.
