Introduction:The presentation will provide comparisons of the functions and features of Head Mounted Devices and Smart Device Applications (iOS and Android platforms). Purpose/OverviewTo provide information regarding Head Mounted Devices and Smart phone applications including their functions, features, pro s, cons, equipment and any special considerations (i.e., hearing aid compatible, difficulty of use with fine motor or speech impairments, language needs, cost, etc.). After being presented with the information, the participant will have a better understanding of the devices and apps presented, how these devices might enhance a user s independence as well as having a better understanding of what device may best fit the needs and capabilities of the user. |
