This workshop will focus on a collaborative approach to service delivery for students with severe disabilities, including communication deficits and visual impairments. Participants will learn about the transdisciplinary team approach and how it differs from a pull out approach. They will learn to embed IEP objectives and provide service delivery within a schedule of age appropriate functional activities. This approach supports consistency of instruction, generalization of skills to a variety of settings and activities, and provides the students with plenty of repetition to practice skills. |
