Description of CE Program/Activity
 Since the last reauthorization of IDEA, the expectationand requirement for all students to work towardacademic state standards have been in place. Thisinitiative is an effort to support educators in learningand implementing some of the research-based bestpractices in providing literacy instruction to studentswith significant intellectual disabilities. This workshoptargets the needs of children who do not yet flexiblyutilize signs, symbols or speech to communicate.
