This includes the possible role that undiagnosed and untreated obstructive sleep apnea may have in a patients response to treatment with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor therapy. 1. Obtain a basic understanding of obstructive sleep apnea and its underlying pathophysiology and treatment. 2. Review recent studies demonstrating an association between obstructive sleep apnea and patients with exudative age related macular degeneration. 3.Review recent studies demonstrating an association between obstructive sleep apnea and patients with diabetic macular edema.
