Description of CE Program/Activity
 Description: Proper lighting is a critical factor to consider for individuals with limited vision and an added importance for everyone as they grow older. If it important to control the intensity of light and glare, as well as to provide contrast. This session will provide an overview of task lighting options and how lighting may improve functional outcomes for specific activities, such as reading and hobby work.Learning Objectives:At the conclusion of this CE activity the participant will be able to: Understand the basics of lighting Define the difference between ambient and task lighting Understand the importance of lighting for near tasks Discuss how lighting and glare may affect clarity, acuity and/or visual discrimination
