Description of CE Program/Activity
 The training is designed to advance clinical staff competence in understanding the important role of nursing when working with visually impaired and blind Veterans. Emphasis will be placed on strategies and techniques for health and safety management.At the conclusion of this CE activity the participant will be able to: Identify and describe admission criteria to the V.A. Long Beach BRCDescribe the Falls Prevention Program utilized by the V.A. Long Beach Nursing TeamDescribe Diabetic Education and Management strategies utilized by the V.A. Long Beach BRC Nursing TeamDescribe integrated modality to well-being (i.e. Healing Touch)Describe medical emergency response protocol at the V.A. Long Beach BRCTime will be available for questions and discussion.
