Our organization is the California Transcribers and Educators for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CTEBVI). We are a California non-profit corporation, with an IRS designation as a 501(c)(3). This year we are celebrating our 60th anniversary, which for a small non-profit organization is a hallmark of the success of our organization. For our entire history, our major activity has been a conference, which is the only one of its kind in the United States. Our goal is as first stated in our 1958 application for non- profit status; we provide teachers, administrators, parents, braille transcribers, and students with access to the most current developments in the field of visual impairments. |
