Description of CE Program/Activity
Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) has become identified as one of the leading causes of visual impairment in children living in the United States. However since the field is fairly new, certified teachers of the visually impaired in Mississippi have not been provided the opportunity or resources to study Cortical Visual Impairment. Learn the basics of CVI at this FREE one-day workshop presented by Dr. Christine Roman-Lantzy on December 14, 2018 at the Mississippi School for the Blind, Jackson, MS.Dr. Christine Roman-Lantzy is a world leader in furthering understanding, assessment, and intervention strategies for Cortical Vision Impairment. She is the creator of The CVI Range- a functional vision assessment tool, and author of the book, Cortical Visual Impairment An Approach to Assessment and Intervention.
