Description of CE Program/Activity
 The 2018 HELIX Conference stands for high expectations for students with low incidence disabilities. HELIX will provide four days of in-depth sessions focusing on the instructional, assessment, and planning needs of students with visual impairment, who are Deaf-Blind, with hearing loss, with intellectual disabilities, who have sustained a traumatic brain injury, and/or with complex communication needs. State and national experts in their fields will engage teachers, administrators, therapists, and family members in comprehensive learning that focuses on strategies and skills that can be applied in service to high expectations for all our students. Identify research-based strategies for teaching students with low incidence disabilities.Identify two ways that one s current practices could be enhanced by strategies learned during the conference.Identify instructional and technology resources to increase the communication and language skills of students with low incidence disabilities.
